C.L.A.S.S.: A Discipleship Track
We are committed to providing a Dicsipleship Track for the membership to move from ground-level discipleship to lead-level discipleship, which means to become fully functional disciples of Christ. The Christian Life and Service Seminars (C.L.A.S.S.) represent sixteen hours of training that equips members with the tools to progress from one level of commitment to the others. Each seminar provides four hours of training and focuses on a particular purpose of the church. The church provides four Seminars:

C.L.A.S.S. 401: Discovering my Life Mission. This seminar is sponsored by the Missions Department. Having completed C.L.A.S.S. 301 is a prerequisite for enrollement. C.L.A.S.S. 401 provides four hours (units) of training that are aimed at enabling members to spend the rest of their lives serving their life mission. The training and instructions provided challenge members to become lead-level disciples by becoming responsible for the development of others. The Mission’s Seminar focuses on the following:
- Discovering My Mission
- Sharing the Message
- Understanding the Methods
- Being a Lead-Level Disciple
The church is commissioned by the Lord to “make disciples”. The Great Commission reveals a two-fold process expressed in the two participles of the biblical text: “Baptizing them” into the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, which means incorporating belivers of the gospel message into the body (church) of Christ; and “teaching them” to observe all things that have been commanded by the Lord. This mandate involves training those converted to become full participants in the ministry and mission of Christ. The process of “making disciples” from all people involves the following:
Four Levels of spiritual development
- The Share-Level - Those who are in the process of receiving and embracing to call to become disciples of Christ. They are called by the gospel message to commit and connect with the body of Christ.
- The Connect-Level: This level of discipleship is represented by those who commit to being incorporated into the fellowship of the body (the one-another relationships) for the purpose of growing spiritually. They have come to realize that spiritual growth can only take place in the context of community and the Christian mission can only be fulfilled through a team relationship with other believers. We recognize that connecting believers relationally in mutual Christian fellowship is an essential component of “making disciples”. The Reseda church provides small groups for accomplishing this purpose.
- The Ministry-Level: Members who connect relationally with others through small groups ministries will be challenged through group experinces to exercise themselves in all five purposes of the church. Those who do so will soon began to experience a calling to serve out of gratitude for what God is accomplishing in and through their relationship with Him and others. When members begin to personally seek their place of service, we identify this stage of their development as having moved into the ministry-level commitment of the process of “making disciples”.
- The lead-level: A growing and serving member of the body will soon experience the need to reproduce themselves and their faith in the lives of others. Their passion for ministry leads them to encourage and nurture the commitment of others. Jesus, says that when one has been fully discipled, they become like their teacher. A believe is fully discipled when they take personal responsibility for participating in the mission of “making disciples” of others.
