The Discipleship Department

The purpose of connecting people relationally is not only for discovering membership in the body of Christ, but also for the expressed purpose of maturing them spiritually, which means "teaching them to observe all things" the Lord has commanded of them (Matthew 28:20).  Spiritual growth is relational.  It can only take place in the context of one another relationships.  Our means of fulfilling this purpose is through Spiritual Growth Campaigns, seminar training that provides members with tools and resources for spiritual growth, and uplifting worship assemblies that place emphasis on behavioral teaching and preaching from the biblical text.

Spiritual Growth

Spiritual growth is not so much about "doing" as it is about "becoming" - becoming more like Christ. It's a life-long adventure that takes patience, commitment, and intentional focus. It's not what we do along the way that is most important. What really matters is who we are becoming in the process. Ultimately, the Christian life is about building an intimate relationship with Jesus as the Holy Spirit changes us from the inside out.

Daily Devotion – our department equip members to cultivate habits that result in spiritual growth.  A primary habit of the spiritual mature believer is the practice of daily quiet time.

CLASS 201 is a Christian Life And Service Seminar aimed at developing habits of spiritual maturity.  This is a four hour training seminar that provides members with tools of spiritual growth designed to foster habits of discipleship.

GROWTH CAMPAIGNS - The Reseda church sponsors periodic spiritual growth campaigns designed to promote the overall spiritual growth of the church membership.  During these periods of consentrated growth, we encourage members to receive the full benefits of the campaigns by connecting with a small group or hosting a group for the duration of the campaign.  A campaign will generally cover a period of forty days.  The following are typical of our Spiritual Growth Campaigns:
