Discipleship 201

C.L.A.S.S. 201:  Discovering Spiritual Maturity - This seminar is sponsored by the Department of Maturity.  Having completed C.L.A.S.S. 101 is a prerequisite for enrollment.  C.L.A.S.S. 201 provides four hours (units) of training that equip members with tools for developing the habits of maturity.   The Seminar is offered on a quarterly basis and covers the following:

  • The habit of grasping the Word

  • The habit of prayer and daily quiet time

  • The habit of tithing time, treasure, and talents

  • The habit of fellowship


The church is commissioned by the Lord to "make disciples".  The Great Commission reveals a two-fold process expressed in the two participles of the biblical text:  "Baptizing them" into the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, which means incorporating believers of the gospel message into the body (church) of Christ; and "teaching them" to observe all things that have been commanded by the Lord.  This mandate involves training those converted to become full participants in the ministry and mission of Christ.  The process of "making disciples" from all people involves the following:
